This course approaches the dynamic evolution of Ecommerce by focusing on the interplay of Political and Legal, Economic, Ecological, Sociocultural forces vis-a-vis Technological dimensions. The course model comprises Theory, Tools, and Techniques underpinning Ecommerce in the 21st Century. The learning outcome is designed to enable the identification of the opportunities/threats for businesses and possible technology-enabled solutions.

 

Course Description:
            This course approaches the dynamic evolution of Ecommerce by focusing on the interplay of Political and Legal, Economic, Ecological, Sociocultural forces vis-a-vis Technological dimensions. The course model comprises Theory, Tools, and Techniques underpinning Ecommerce in the 21st Century. The learning outcome is designed to enable the identification of the opportunities/threats for businesses and possible technology-enabled solutions.
 
Course Objectives:
Upon successful completion of the course, the students are expected to:
1.      Identify and discuss factors/dimensions that impact Ecommerce initiatives
2.      Analyse situations and develop insights that are useful for decision-making in a globally connected environment
3.      Understand the drivers of Ecommerce solutions

2.      Diverse sources on the internet using keywords such as: Web 2.0, SNS, Social Media, Social Computing, Social Software
 
Course Requirements
A.     One major e-commerce solution project which shall be assessed continuously and
B.     Participation in Class Social Network Application (Social Web App) particularly a wiki which shall be built for discussion purposes. Instructor reserves the right to give unannounced short quizzes.
 
·         At least 3 contributions per participant for the entire semester
